A week ago, I asked you the fans to make the tough decision of selecting the VamosMorados.com Player Of The Year. There were four fantastic players on the ballot with a few arguable snubs left off. How fortunate are we to have such quality and depth!? With about 40% of the vote, you have chosen Brian Ownby as the 2nd ever winner! He was closely followed by Jonathan Gomez, but Ownby was able to secure the win over the talented youngster. Ownby ended the regular season with 4 goals, 11 assists (tied for 2nd in the league), and a FotMob player rating of 7.36.
As mentioned in the post asking for your vote, a charity selected by Ownby will be the financial beneficiary of a raffle for an exclusive signed bourbon bottle! A limited number of these Four Roses bottles were sold in the Team Shop in late 2020. It bears the OG Louisville City crest and the signatures of former head coach John Hackworth, current head coach Danny Cruz, and GK coach Scott Budnick. They flew off the shelves initially, but you now have a chance to get your hands on one if you missed it the first go-around, all while supporting a great cause.
