Manny Perez Rejoins Louisville City

Manny Perez has returned to Louisville. Following the 2023 season, Perez was transferred to Danish club AC Horsens. Unfortunately, his opportunity in Europe was cut short. He was sidelined with an injury in late February. Now healthy, but with the prospect of earning notable minutes unlikely, Manny and AC Horsens mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Less than a month later, the 25-year-old rejoins his former squad.

Quite the pleasant surprise for Louisville City fans! Although the team has an abundance of riches, it never hurts to add another option to the mix. Especially when it is a player with 66 appearances over two seasons with the club. There will be a few new faces for him to meet, and an adjusted tactical style to learn, but otherwise, we can likely expect him to immediately contribute. For as talented as Manny was in the 22 and 23 seasons, the tactical setup of this campaign will lend itself perfectly to his skill set. Having experience both up and down the side flank, Coach Danny Cruz will be able to deploy him in several roles. Following Adrien Perez’s red card against Hartford and the suspension to follow, it’s not impossible that he could make an immediate impact.

This Louisville City squad is now as deep and talented as we have ever seen. Although the odds are quite favorable to snag at least one piece of silverware, there is still work to be done. And I’m sure Manny will be as motivated as ever coming off a disappointing injury to help his team lift a trophy.
